ima billy boyd fan, and so i stumbled onto this page for UGS and i was wondering if anyone has seen it and if billy is in enuf of it that it would be worth me tracking down? also, does anyone kno what rating it got?

Although it is an interesting film...I was disturbed by the kind of character, Billy Boyd played. It was definately a change from what we're use to seeing him do. The rest of the cast was also accomplished, especially the girl who plays Lizzie. If you are looking to see this movie to see Mr. Boyd, he is not shown as much as a fan would like to see him. But an interesting storyline to be sure.
shareIf you live in the U.S. it just came out on video and dvd today. I went straight to the video store and rented it. I didn't watch the whole thing yet but I did skip to the parts with Billy and he was awesome, not the nicest character but he was great. It's rated R so it might not be a movie to show any younger kids and almost every other word Billy said was the F word, but I think it is worth seeing if you're a Billy Boyd fan.

Speaking as someone who has (and will continue to do so lol) rented movies for the sole purpose of seeing one actor in it, I can only advise not to watch UGS for Billy Boyd. I don't mind the movie, but he's only in two scenes, and they last maybe five minutes total. It's fun to see him swear and act tough, though. Hehe! Pippin the mobster...
If you think the idea of poltergeists is at all interesting, than I say go ahead and check the film out, but make sure you watch the documentary on the DVD about real urban ghosts. There is an actual recording of a ghost's voice that was done in the 70's. It's really, really damn creepy.
