I tuned in a few minutes late but in time to watch Fonda leave with the daugher in law
(Helen).
Its now at the part where he argues with the cop at the gas station. But its bugging the hell outta me ... WHY, when those 2 punks were standing in front of Ulees pick up as he was leaving with the Helen, didn't Ulee look over the rear seat like he was backing out but instead put the truck in DRIVE and STAND ON IT crushing the two of them against the wall !!
No jury woulda convicted him I'm sure. I know the one a** hole probably still had the 38 cal pistol on him but no way would he be able to use it if he was crushed like this.
Its frustrating the hell outta me LOL !! What did I miss - was he a pacifist or something like that ?

OK, near the end now so SPOILER ALERT.... you've been warned !! Why wasn't kidnapping one of the charges the Sheriff rattled off (as to the 2 punks) when he was visiting Ulee in the hospital ? Those two should get 25 to life, minimum, IMHO ...

What kidnapping? He knew of no kidnapping.
