ita a bit of welsh dialect there, hes saying "hot dog it is then" and 'boy -bach" - bach is welsh for boy (or child?) and English speaking welsh people sometimes occaionally use welsh phrases or words in conversation , so someone who doesnt speak welsh could call someone 'bach' as a term of endearment.

nah jack this film should be for non welsh folk. spreading the word of the barmy welshman. anyway i aint welsh and i understood it. with the odd small exception. welsh accents sound more carribean than english to me.

Twin town is one othe the single most quoteable and funniest flicks ever, and i'm english, so all the jokes and lingo made perfect sense to me
the Allen's Welsh accent wasn't so hard to do as you think, as they have quite a large family in the area and spent quite a lot of time here as boys. I remember seeing a documentary on Channel 4 years ago about Keith Allen's relationship with his Father, and they revisited a lot of the places that they've been which meant a lot was in the Swansea / Llanelli area (his Father may even have been Welsh, can't quite remember now).
The whole ending of the film is a kind of tribute to him (Allen's Father) too as in this documentary he says that Myfanwy is his favourite song (it's the one being sung by the choirs on the pier at the end) and he served in the Navy for many years (submarines I think) and as such wants a sea burial.

Keith 'Dad of Lilly' Allen was actually born in Wales. Llanelli to be precise if memory serves correctly, so perhaps the accent wasn't so hard after all.

hey Jack, you live by THE Iron Bridge? The one that leads from Sandfields into Fairfield, or vice versa? It crosses the road which goes under Beach Hill?
Other parts of the film were filmed in Port Talbot too, the church in Baglan, a street up on the hill by town, and the gypsy camp site on Baglan Moors/Briton Ferry. Probably others too, it's been ages since I saw it.

i work for BT and went to fix a phone at a house in llanelli about 8 or 9 years ago. can't remember if the guy said that he was kieth allen's dad or uncle. but he showed me lots of photo's of kieth and lily when they'd come down to visit. it wasn't long after twin town had come out so it was interesting to see.

now i live in london i say i'm from llanelli when talking to other welsh people to avoid any cardiff/swansea bias
