The scene 'in the rain'


Did anyone else notice that the scene, when they were in the garage, and it was "raining" outside, the sun was shining extremely brightly. It was so obvious they were using a hose for the rain.

No, it was raining heavily. The weather was wildly changing that day. Between a wildcat strike by the crew to unionize and an already tiny budget, there were no contingencies in the schedule to delay the shoot. You takes what you get on a shoestring. That's why there's a Gary Marshall VO saying "One minute it's raining, then next it isn't," or something like that.
