solid performance by the actors especially jennifer beals and brendan fraser.wow.. just WOW. totally believable with their characters. but then again, im biased with brendan. he even can pull off being gay and being gorgeous all at the same time. anyhoo, great movie indeed. im wondering why this isnt a well-known movie.
shareTerrible directing, a convoluted screenplay, irritating performances,horrible music (the pop stuff, not the incidental score),sub par camera work, bare bones production values all distracted from what could have been a very good film in other hands.Everyone wants remakes of great films for some inane reason but it is small films like this,about an important subject that should be given a "remake" especially when things have changed that would give it a different, perhaps brighter outcome for all involved.
And yes, Brendan Fraser was gorgeous and sweet and is the definite "star" here, giving the most honest and heartfelt portrayal.
