what happened to their desire to take over the earth after blowing up the Machine Empire. Why did the Machine Empire give up too?
The common belief is that the Turbo season is when Rita became pregnant with Thrax, so she and Zedd called off their conquest if Earth, at least for the time being.
As for Mondo, keep in mind that Zedd wiped out the entire Royal House of Gadgetry. Mondo was destroyed a little over midway through Zeo, and wasn't rebuilt until near the end, and that was with the Royal House of Gadgetry seeing to his return. With the entire Royal House of Gadgetry destroyed on the moon, it would probably take even longer to rebuild them, since no leaders are around to see that it happens quickly(plus more to rebuild this time). Likely, Mondo and Machina were finished just in time to attend the meeting with the Alliance of Evil at the beginning of In Space. Sprocket, Klank, and Orbus may not have even been fully rebuilt at that time. Who knows?
The reason she told Divatox to run was A) she didn't want someone else to defeat the rangers B) she just woke up in the middle of the night and was cranky C) she was being a smart ass D) the rangers caused her nothing but trouble, and she was sarcastically but genuinely telling Divatox not to get involved with them.
