Is it me or is Dark Specter from The Space Rangers the same monster in the lava pit????

Oh no, it's not just you. They reused the puppet. Also, if you've seen the pilot episode of Lost Galaxy, the combat suits are the Starship Troopers uniforms. They use them in the show Firefly, as well (but they at least had the originality to replace their helmets with nazi helmets). Oh well, they look cool.

I remember seeing an episode,one of the newer ones,that had a bad guy that looked just like the green big bad beetle borg.Anyone else remember this?I also remember seeing a tenga,those vulture things in the first movie, in an episode of s.p.d.

Yeah, in the episode Forever Red, they had five generals that were old BeetleBorg costumes.

Ummm, the storm troopers in Starship Troopers WERE dressed as Nazis, complete with iron eagles. Did you never watch the film?

They made thousands and thousands of extras costumes for Starship Troopers and after it bombed you began to see the costumes appear in pretty much every DTV scifi film and low budget scifi tv series for about a decade.

Shame, Starship Troopers is every bit as good as Robocop and one of the best satires ever made. It was probably too smart for its own good though since no one seems to even get that its a satire in the first place.

Maligore & Dark Spectre are seperate beings.Note that Dark Spectre actually speaks while Maligore only grunts & growls angrily(when he`s not possessing a human host & even then if Jason & Kim are any indication it`s like 20% Maligore , 50% the human`s own negative qualities). Their being identical in appearance is likely intentional as both represent evil in different ways:Maligore(also known as " The Great Flame Of Destruction ") is hatred incarnate , Dark Spectre is the overlord of all evil . Also , they`re both extradimensional demons so they might be from the same dimension .

Well, Maligore's teeth were more transparent than Dark Specter's, and his body seemed more wet, but other than that, yes, they were the same. It's been chalked up to them being of the same race. Even Divatox mentions that they look the same.
