i'm pretty sure that maximum overdrive came out in like 1986, directed by king himself, not two years after trucks which was like in 1997. unless there was a third version of this movie, but i dont think so.

I think you are right. Maximum Overdrive was the older one.

Also, in the review, he claims he's writing it "2 days PRIOR to seeing the movie." That's impossible--how do you write a review of something you won't see until two days from now? He clearly has no idea what he's talking about, or he's a dolt.

Then again, you never know, he might be The Doctor...

In answer to your question, I was given the permission to write "Trucks" based on his short story. He had directed his version, "Maximum Overdrive" years before. Brian Taggert
