TONKA TRUCK? AXE SCENE?

I watched this on Sci-Fi and there were no scenes with a tonka truck attacking a mailman or guys getting hacked up by an axe. Were they cut out of the TV version? If so, can someone describe both scenes to me, and tell me when in them movie (After the scene's in the diner, with Timothy Busfields charachter) do they occur. Are there any photographs or clips of these scenes?

That might have been the older version this is the 'remake', I use that term loosely here. If so you want Maximum Overdrive. They were both based on a short story named trucks where an 'unearthly' influnce affected only cars and trucks. Not everything mechanical.

It now became apparent (despite the lack of library paste)that something had happened to the vicar;

No it was this movie I watched. The tonka truck and axe scenes weren;t in it.

you missed a small battery powered truck ramming a mailman in the shin. He yells 'OW' and falls to the floor, then the toy truck rams his head a few times and kills him.

The axe scene involves two guys in a hazardous waste disposal truck.
the truck uses the oxygen/air supply pump and 'inflates' one of the bio-hazzard suits while it is hanging up. the suit then picks up an axe and starts chopping up people.

Im guessing the scenes were cut due to them being THE DUMBEST two scenes in any movie. ever.

I watched the DVD of this and both scenes were in it. I was kind of surprised that this was a TV movie because they were actually pretty gory scenes. But now hearing that people aren't seeing those scenes on TV I'm wondering if maybe this was originaly supossed to be a theatrical release but it was decided against because they probably thought no one would go pay to see it. Mainly because of there already being Maximum Overdrive. The DVD box has the movie Rated R

anyone have any clips of photos of that scene?

Go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tYNzgkzTrEk , it features the axe scene and a few other terrible movie clips. I forgot to add the Tonka so that'll come with vol.2.

reply

Yeah those 2 scenes killed the movie for me i quite liked it apart from them.

reply

yeah its not in the tv version, on video/dvd though, its there.

I watched this when i was 10 or so, and loved that tonka truck scene, then when seeing it on tv, i was upset to see it missing, i mean it was quite possibly the best scene, if not the only redeemable scene in the flick, brutal and sick, and semi disturbing to see it happen with a childrens toy.

that little bastard was merciless, it rams his head against the curb like 12 times, takking off flaps of flesh and plenty f blood away everytime it hits.

Those scenes are on the version currently available on the Free Movies on Demand section for Time Warner subscribers. A search should find it for you.

In the final scene did none of the escapees look in the cockpit of the helicopter and see what was coming? You would think they would.

Having worked with inflatable suits in the Nuclear Industry that scene has to be taken with a grain of salt. The compressor may start on its own but the suit could not grab anything and could not lift it if it did grab as there was nothing in the suit to lift with. The only way for this to happen is to accept the possibility that an invisible being is in the suit. This could also explain trucks moving on their own but would not explain the Tonka Truck movement.
