Great idea, poor execution

This film is so bad its not even a B movie. But the idea behind it is very good.

From the acting of general Tunis it seems the destruction of life on Earth and loss of so many lives wasn't really just an action of the Bridgists. It was simply a violent and desperate conflict between these two. No side was better than the other.

Also interestingly the senator was a key to stopping the Bridgist movement, not the author of the book. Shows how work of philosophers gets misused to install a fascist regine. Without the senator John Bridges never achieved sufficient popularity to influence politics and Bridgism was just one from many idiologies.

It would deserve a remake. There are several cases when an idiology ruined lives of millions of people. It always happens when it becomes too powerful. Examples: Christianity in feudalism, Islam in Islamic State, Facsism/Nazism, Communism and also Ba'ath movement.
