Why did old Rose call Brock??

What was her motivation? She already HAD the diamond. Did she just want to get out of the house and go on a little adventure?

Maybe, but perhaps a bit more than that.

She was getting older and began to accept that she was reaching the end of her life. After Titanic, she put the tragedy behind her, got married, had kids, had a career, and overall a very busy life.

Now that she was approaching the end, she likely wanted some closure. By calling Brock, she wrangled an invite to the site, got to tell Jack's story, perhaps impress her grand daughter, and returned the diamond to the wreckage (although that part I don't get).

Ahh yes, closure. That does make sense. And, finally get Jack's story (and heroism), not to mention her love story...on record.

...on record.

Indeed. Her story may have got some minor attention if Brock or Lizzy relayed it, but imagine how much more impact her story would have had if she produced the diamond? They would have made a movie about her!

she was old and dying, she knew she completely the promise she made to jack and had her life without him, so she wanted to end it where he died.so they can be together

reply

I think she wanted the drawing. First thing she says when she gets there is "I would like to see my drawing"

reply

She wanted to see the drawing and die where jack died and finally let go off the necklace
