In the boarding sequence Rose asks Trudy: "My coat?". Why is she so worried about it? Any thoughts? Or was that scene meant to show how gorgeous her hat looked from different angles?

Yeah, I don't know. I thought that she may have had the coat when departing and due the fact that the weather was warmer than expected, didn't wear it. Maybe she was making sure she didn't leave it in the car.

It's just a casual scene I don't understand the need to question it

I agree. People tend to run every tiny bit from this film into the ground. The poster before you is probably correct; she was making sure that her maid had ready, should she need it.
