First time seeing

and I barely got through this. It was thoroughly depressing, even though Thornton gave an impressive performance, as well did Bill Paxton.

I've been waiting for Bill Paxton's movies to start showing up on the pay channels since last Sunday and finally found this one on Epix. I saw it in the theater and forgot all about it until he passed and everyone started talking about it; watching now but I may turn it off if it's too much of a downer.

I watched it for the first time a year or two ago. It's a good film, especially during the winter season.

It's also very Coen-esque, so if you like Fargo, you should like A Simple Plan.

Paxton's movies have been playing where I am since his death. I agree with PrimeMinisterX, it IS a good film.

I've loved this movie since it first came out. Every performance is so genuine. This is how people in real life really act. Everything about this movie is so believable. Until the "FBI" agent shows up and then it takes on a different flavor. But I still adore this movie as a whole.

I didn’t find it that depressing, just a little dark and super thrilling.
