Whose performance do you like most?
I'll go with Jessica Lange as Ginny. She's absolutely terrific... She touchs me to tears! Mentionworthy is also the outstanding Michelle Pfeiffer as the determined Rose.
shareI agree with you. Lange was doing some real acting; Pfeiffer's character was not so different from most people now, IMO. But Lange's character was more of a stretch. I was watching her very closely to see what she would do next; it was refreshing.
shareJessica and Michelle were both just great, this was a very well done movie on all levels, but my God it was so depressing, it is hard to watch it for a second time after you do so the first time., but it was as I said an excellent film if you don't mind it being so depressing.

it was a truly stellar cast, they are all great, but when Ginny is in the kitchen and Jess runs his fingers over her skin as he passes and after he's gone she reaches back and touches the same spot, she so nails it.

Both Lange and Pfeiffer (my idol!!!) deserved an oscar or at least a nomination for their performances.
Such a shame the movie didn't become what Michelle hoped for it would.
She wanted to make this movie for such a long time. But still, her performance is great! But then again, isn't it always?
Yes Michelle's performances are always wonderful! I have yet to see this movie but I know Lange and Pfeiffer will be terrific as always.
