Eh, what the hey. The daughter of an actress and a writer gets engaged to a politician, but she warns him that if her parents end up in close vicinity to one another - a scandal might ensue. They decide to invite both, anyway, and the parents get in huge argument at her wedding, get thrown out, keep fighting there, then a romance spurs between them, they run off together, and the rest is the movie.
