Dumb Kidnappers

I noticed a scene in this movie that shows how dumb the kidnappers (Ma and Pa) were in this movie. It shows in the scene where Zeke breaks into the kidnappers hideout and attempts to rescue Lizzie (the original kidnap victim), Patti, and DC. Ma and Pa regained the upper hand when Zeke dropped his gun allowing Ma to pick their gun back up. All they had to do was bag up DC, tie up Zeke and Patti, and duct tape their mouths like they had previously done to Patti and Lizzie and they would have had a clean getaway with possession of the original hostage and nobody to hunt them down. Instead they left Zeke, Patti, and DC free to chase them and eventually catch them.
