shareI don't have the dvd, but it is a good story, if you like a 60's type movie watch it.
About Jonathan, well he doesn't appear too much in the movie, his role is most about fighting with Karchy (Brad Renfro).
Jonathan Rhys-Meyers has a very, very small part in this. So if you want to watch it for him, just fast-foward through the film.
I would not recommend it and totally and it isn't something that I would want in my DVD collection. The film was dull, annoying, and overall, I really hated it.

In answer to this old post for future viewers, I would recommend it for Kevin Bacon's performance. That guy can carry a script and a movie! The story of downtrodden high-school kid aspiring to be as cool as the hip DJ, before finding his own character is a good (not great) one.
Its also a decent period piece. Of movies in the same period, I found the story more memorable than Diner (and I'm probably in the minority on that), but overall not as good as Tin Men.
His role is minor, but still integral to the story. He plays a bully in the film.
If you are a Clevelander, I highly recommend this movie. It's a great story of the Cleveland many of us used to know.
If you are not a Clevelander, this movie is still enjoyable and contains MANY MANY relevant actors (Bacon, Flockhart, Renfro, Luke Wilson, Rhys-Meir) when they were NOT relevant actors. It is not a provincial film and the story rings true with anyone from a major city.
Actually shot in Cleveland!
