First, great movie!!! My mum and sis cried after watching this movie, so im very glad i bought it.

I want the whole feel on this movie, so i was wondering if youre nice enough to tell me everything yanko's been saying in his own language while he's having a delirious convulsion? I realise it may not make sense in the movie, i mean he could be just saying things like "im going to america" "where are the children" "why am i here" and so on...it doesnt matter, i still like to know cause he emplied later he just wanted a water and i know he had more to say than just that

my russian is so bad,i only understand some words and i think he really talked about water but i would love to hear everything what he told too.hope someone will tell us more.love the movie so much:)

I don't speak russian but I watched the film in Sweden with Swedish subtittles. He was asking for water over and over again.

My swedish isn't perfect but it went something like this.
-"Water, give me water."
-"Yanko English. you must speak english"
-"give me water give me water. I want to have water! is it mother? The sun is burning. I have worked hard. Give me water."
-"I don't understand. i dont know what you want please."
-"Do something. Help me! why do you do this against me. I am your husband. We are a family!"
-"please i dont know what you want i don't know how to help you."
-"give me water" *goes for the baby*
-"No! Don't, Don't! You musn't harm the baby. I won't let you. Tell me what you want. Tell me what you want!"
-"GIVE ME WATER!"
-"don't"
"Give me water. It is all i am asking! MOTHER!"

hope that helps. bear in mind my swedish translation may be a bit off but still. Plus he is basically crazy!

Not Russians, Ukrainians. Yanko came from the Carpathians, obviously a Hutzul, one of the mountain people of that region. He was definitely speaking Ukrainian, not too well, but I am Ukrainian and it is a different language, similar but very different.
