I have been reading up on this movie but has yet to see it. The one thing that seems to get so much attention is about/on the girls Incestual relationship with her father. No one says how he kept her quiet about it all this time or was it ever revealed in the film to the family.

The movie doesn't give you much information about that. There is only one short scene that lets you know about the incest. The scene, though, is essential to understanding other scenes that follow.
