Great Movie Spoiled By a Terrible Ending

The ending made the whole movie pointless, what a waste.

What do you mean? Did you want Max & Elise to get away at the end?

Seems like either way the movie would be "pointless".

Almost any alternative ending would have been better. The movie ended up where it began so the story was rendered meaningless.

The kidnapping just ended up making no difference whatsoever, he could have killed all of them at the beginning of the movie and it would have been the same outcome. At first I thought I was watching the director's cut to see such an ending, I was sure that a studio would never approve an ending like that.

I like the ending! It's not your traditional Hollywood happily ever after. ...
The ending simply states... You don't play with the mob.

The ending is the way it should have been. They got what they deserved.

Perfect ending to a great movie. Charlie kept his word and Max lied to his friends. That's what really pissed Charlie off the most. Max's lack of loyalty.
