There is an HD version on Amazon Instant and as well on Pirate Bay, it looks really good.

there were rumors a while ago that criterion was going to put it out on blu, but im guessing they really were rumors cuz they just upgraded slacker and still no suburbia. but i agree this film is great and needs a release.

Slacker stinks. This is Linklater's best movie and the best gen-x movie in general. It's a thinking movie, as well as emotional and unpredictable. Slacker is just a hodgepodge of random nonsense with no depth at all except for a few scenes like the anarchist old man.

as someone has already said, there is a really good copy on Pirate Bay/Kickass. its definitely been restored and it looks great

its in HD on itunes, you can always rip that.
