Didn't this have a sequel?

I remember watching this movie when i was young but i am sure it had a sequel.
They have a child together, but when their home is attacked she is trying to get on the horse to escape but a cannon ball hits near by and the blast kills the baby.
I am sure he either loses his hand or has it badly injured.
It was definitely Michael Greyeyes that was in it, and i am sure it is the same actress.

Does anyone have ideas???
