2 gents in the coffee shop

Two older actors (who have been in previous Mamet productions, according to the dvd's "special features") are seated across from each other in the diner/coffee shop. We see them occasionally.

They look and behave like hayseed farmers trying to avoid going out to their fields. They some time read Daily Variety and gab with each other using technical jargon of filmmaking.

They appear to us as two Medieval sheep shearers saying words that could come only from a conversation between Einstein and Michaelangelo. That disconnect is pure Mamet! Thank you, David.

I do have to say that East Coast rural oldtimers have a tendency to sound like that. LIke they have been sitting and observing everyone as case studies for their own philosophy monograph. :D
