The rating is a joke. One of the most brilliantly sarcastic movies ever

Seriously, when was the last time any of you actually sat down and watched this thing? I can't believe the drubbing it took from critics at the time.... it's hilariously subversive, sarcastic, and utterly in on its own joke from start to finish.

Take my advice. Watch "Stella". It's hysterical. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0443409/

I agree. I love Spice World. But It's a celebrity thing; if you don't like the people in it, you won't like the movie. P

It's sheer fun from start to finish and sends their situation up beautifully without being remotely self-reverent. There's a ton of great lines and plenty to laugh along with.

I definitely agree that if you don't like the girls, you'll have trouble liking the film. But they're giving it their all to give you a great couple of hours.

I loved this movie so much that I saw it twice when it was in the theater.

Forgot to say that's it's a great film but far from sarcastic.

Sarcasm is a lazy, whiney horror of a thing that makes no attempt to improve the subject it's attacking. Sarcasm is often an attempt by the dim-witted to glamourise pointless negativity.

The attitude and mood of this film is the complete opposite. It's lively, upbeat, enthusiastic, pragmatic and realistic. It's all about 'can-do' and about stamping out whingeing.

Glad you like the film and I wish you well.

I sgree that there is sarcasm but I think it's sarcasm at their critics.

A roommate of mine back in those days had the video of the movie given to her as a joke by some guy friends of ours. She said the joke ended up being on them because she really enjoyed it. I enjoyed it too, I would have never thought to buy it but I watched it with her and liked it.

I wouldn't call it brilliant, but its fun and certainly doesn't deserve such a low rating.
