This is better than "Speed".

I know that Sandra Bullock isn't keen on sequels as she has said in interviews, but this flick is better than Speed 1 (in my opinion).

Speed 2 is still corny, no doubt about it, but there is less sentimentality as opposed to Speed 1.

I once preferred the first flick, but it is just too fake, they all acted like they were one big family and it's just unrealistic, even in a drastic situation i doubt strangers would act like that with each other. Speed 2 is actually more realistic when it comes to that - people on the boat were not as emotionally attached to each other as they were in the first film.
