I'm sure these actors contractually have to talk up their movie like it's the best thing since sliced bread up until the release and probably until it is out on home video.

Did Sandra Bullock hate this movie after the fact? I heard part of her motivation for doing Speed 2 so that Fox could fund a pet project of her's called Hope Floats. I'm guessing that her enthusiasm for Speed 2 may have started to wane when Keanu Reeves announced that he wasn't going to come back. Plus, Sandra must've felt that she had to show that she was grateful regardless since Speed is generally seen as the movie that made her a star in the first place. Had she pulled out of the project too, then it wouldn't have gotten made in the first place.

If I remember correctly it did also include speed boats though.

And the first one started in a slow moving elevator while the second one started with her speeding in a car.
