Bad acting. Bad dialogue. Bad staging. Bad story.

For the number of actually good actors involved with this film it's a real accomplishment to get such bad performances out of them all.

i am quite sure all the artificiality was intended
just like Hitchcocks also this film was not interested in reality.

I disagree. Good acting, great dialogue, good staging, great story. But that's why they make chocolate and vanilla.
