Pretty expensive scam

That was one huge, expensive conspiracy to bilk Joe Ross of his "process." They rented a sea plane, a bunch of insanely expensive cars, a whole restaurant plus a bunch of actors to pretend to be diners and waiters (or people in on the conspiracy), maybe the whole trip to St. Estaphe, what else? They must have expected to profit like mad from that process to invest so much in stealing it.

One of the opening scenes shows Joe talking about the process. When George writes the number on the board to say how much the "process" will make, everyone's expression turns to shock. That number, whatever it is, was big enough to tempt Mr. Klein to set this whole thing up so that he could have the money all to himself.
