Main/Recurring theme (Labyrinthesque music) sounds very familiar.....

Did anyone find the main theme to be extremely familiar? For those who have the score, if you listen to the whole piece uninterrupted (2:19), it sounds really familiar. Actually, and I know this sounds totally crazy, I have this weird feeling when I hear it that reminds me of Nintendo games from the early or mid 1980's, like Zelda or the Goonies game or Uncle Fester's Quest or something. I'd like to clarify that I am NOT saying that the music was copied, I think its darn next to impossible that anyone would copy from a video game theme, if thats even the relation at all. But I am quite serious when I say I think I heard a very similar theme either from a mid 80's movie or computer or NES or arcade game (yeah, I know I'm not entirely narrowing it down). Part of the reason I"m saying this is that I have basically every movie theme I have ever heard memorized, so I'm 99% sure it remeinds me of something from when I was VERY young (i.e. something I had not yet memorized), like maybe 3-7 (I'm in my early 20's now). If any movie or game buffs from that time period can help me out I"d appreciate it, I have a feeling the answer is probably something really stupid and obvious, but its gnawing at me. Thanks for your help, I apologize if this sounds kind of off the wall, but I am quite serious and very stumped.

I can't help you but I think David Mamet uses a similar melody in Heist, although not exactly the same.

The only second chance you get is to make the same mistake twice. - David Mamet

Yes, I remember it from a game I used to play on the PC. It was a haunted house type game. In the end, if you lost, this was the theme music you would have heard. It could have also been from the game "The Seventh Guest"

AHA!!! I don't remember that name exactly, but its nice to know I"m not losing my mind:) I KNEW it was from a video game somewhere (or perhaps the game borrowed from the movie, but I'm sure I heard the game music first!)
