Why didnt Bird just ask Teri to hook Lem up with a job???

they obviously dont have a problem with asking her for anything else so why not?? she clearly has connections right?? It makes more sense than asking the ex and at least if Lem found out it wouldnt be such a big deal.

Lem most likely would have resisted that. The movie establishes Lem as wanting to handle his own job situation; any help from Bird in that area he wouldn't have liked...and he probably would have especially resisted help from Teri, who he seemed to have a bit of an adversarial relationship with. And knowing Teri, she probably would have lorded it over his head if she was able to hook him up.

I get what you are saying. but it still seems strange that she would ask her ex and not teri. and they coulda kept it a secret from lem if they really wanted to. and if he found out i highly doubt he would be as angry as he was when the ex was involved. and yes Lem was prideful but he wasnt that prideful. didnt he accept money from kenny???

Lem did say to Bird that he can "find his own damn job." After this is where Bird should've let it go. Bird shouldn't have went behind Lem's back and asked Simuel (her ex) for help knowing how he still wanted her. As for Teri...I wouldn't of asked her either from what an earlier poster said. Teri would've hung that over everybody's head.

I think he would have gotten over it eventually if it was Terri who helped him get a job and not her ex, though.

Save the date: Decemember 31, 2014 is Cassie's big day!!!

thank u!! assuming he even finds out! and if he did whats he gon do anyway? quit the job??

IM STILL CONFUSED AS TO WHY BYRD ASKED HER EX OF ALL PEOPLE. THAT WAS UNIVERSALLY STUPID.

reply

I don't see ex-convict LEM being able to work with Teri, hookup or not. He still had a record which left him with few job options...

reply

Please. You cant be serious. She could have definitely got him a decent job somewhere. When you are a big time attorney you can pull some strings. Now KEEPING the job would be entirely up to him.
