Saddest movie endings ever?

Pay it Forward brings me to tears every time I watch it. the headlights streaming toward the house seem to fade to the individuals carrying candles - it is a powerful image with "Calling All Angels" by Jane Silberry ringing like a bell in the background

I Am Legend, when Will Smith's character has to kill his dog cause she got infected. Him singing the same song he listened to when he gave her a bath earlier in the film is what really chokes me up.

The ending to Monster Inc. and Iron Giant are sad ones too.

A boat that floats on water can also sink in it.

Dark Water... its cheesy "horror" movie ending but stil...

for me The Most I've ever cried for a movie is "The Cure"....Its about a young kid with HIV who be friends A new Neighbor whos A couple years older....They read in a magazine someone across the county claimed have found the cure to HIV....and They Runaway to go across country to try and get the cure....Its A criminally underrated film and The ending is beyond sad....Its Haunting....But whats odd is The first 90% on the film Is fun and incredibly enjoyable but Then You get hit with A Ending that will leave you in tears
