I like this movie a lot. A well-made romance, with a little bit of intrigue, melodrama and slap-stick thrown in it. But nothing went over the top.....
the movie was maybe a smudge too long, but every scene was lovely......

shareI completely disagree. It's an appalling film, by far the worst Mikhalkov has made. Pretentious rambling. Poorly acted. And Mikhalkov himself on a white horse in the Kremlin to make matters worse. Watch any other film by Mikhalkov (as a director or as an actor), you'll see the difference. I cannot get over this one, aargh!

Lol you're going to need a more solid argument than "poor acting and pretentious rambling" since those can all be based on individual tastes. I personally loved this film.
