The same actor in 4 different roles

The actor who was 'Hobbes', the man sent up to pull down the wall at Toulousse, is shot in the back, presumed to die. He is then seen carrying General Ross, back left corner of the stretcher in a different uniform. Then he's back in the uniform that Sharpe's regiment wears, stumbling through the camp drunk just before Sharpe and Fredrickson have a conversation. Then at the end he's in a French uniform in the marching procession heading out of Ducos' hideout.

I swear it is the SAME actor. If anyone has these on dvd and can rewatch them, let me know what you think.

He's also one of the Italian soldiers picking up the gold coins fired from the little cannon.

I watch Sharpe a lot whenever it's on the Yesterday channel and on DVD and I always look out for what we (my husband watches too) call the 'stock' soldier. He's in Sharpe's Siege as well, as one of Brand's Boys and I think I've seen him in French uniform in another but I can't remember which.

I've been trawling the net for the past couple of years looking for someone else who noticed this as well.

Yay!

I watched a bit of Sharpe's Waterloo and I think I saw him in that too. The reason he stands out to me is because he's 'unique' looking, he reminds me of a younger Harris (the ginger-haired guy in Sharpe's troupe, the book-worm). He's not really generic looking, if that makes sense. My husband suggested maybe he's a relative of someone on the production staff.

Yep, it was in Waterloo I saw him as a Frenchie and I've just watched it again. He's in it at least four times, three as a French soldier and once as a Brit. He 'dies' twice.

Your hubby could be right. I was thinking the same or maybe a member of the production team. Then again he could just be a 'regular' extra.

I think it's the strong cheekbones that make him stand out. Really noticeable with the sideburns. I think I'm gonna have to trawl through old episodes again to see what other scenes he's in.

It makes me want to rewatch the earlier episodes again too. I still have 2 left to watch but someday I'll investigate further.

I've seen him again in a couple of other places that I hadn't noticed before. He's at the beginning of Sharpe's Enemy. When Pot au Feu begs for food, he's the one who offers some of his and then gets killed. Also I think I caught a glimpse of him in Sharpe's Siege but I'm not sure, I'll have to check. I've also seen another extra in more than one 'role'. The French deserter who gets strangled in Sharpe's Mission turns up at least twice in 'Revenge'.

BTW, I meant 'Mission' of course in the earlier post about Brand's Boys.

Just watching Sharpe's Gold and he's the sort of second in command to El Casco. He even has a speaking part.
