I get into phases where I watch movies with particular actors and this one has an incredible wealth of talent! Branagh, Stowe, Hurt, Danner, Loggia, NPH -- any one of whom would compel me to watch the movie.
It's predictably structured and incredibly base on the surface, but the getting there is still a journey and I really enjoyed it.
What does "predictably structured and incredibly base" mean? (This is a serious question.) It's far-fetched, definitely, but, wow, does it touch some sensitive subject matter. Roger's attachment to his child is heartbreaking. I don't find that either predictable or base--if by "base" you mean crude.
That's why I ask.
It means the story was structured in a very predictable way and that everything that happened was obvious. Nothing was a surprise to me.
