shareI'm not sure if the exact scene actually happened but it was rooted in truth. Suzette and AB did a Live Chat on Youtube in which they answered questions about Selena and AB said there had been many times when Selena would go shopping dressed in normal clothes and they would get followed in stores and be reminded of prices by the sales people even when Selena would take out her AMEX card to pay for some items. He said it used to really bother Selena that things like that would happen.
