DId the scene in the mall really happen?

Did the scene in the mall where the lady at the store said she wouldn't be interested in trying on that dress because it was $800 really happen? Its like what happened to Julia Roberts in "Pretty Women."

reply

I don't know about this scene in the movie, but I was wondering where the escalator scene was filmed.

Does anyone know where the Mall Escalator Scene was filmed?

Was it in Corpus Christi at Sunrise Mall or someplace else?

reply

It was filmed at Ingram Park Mall in San Antonio

reply

Thank you, hopejanette!

reply

You're welcome! The reason I know that is because I was there with my dad when they were filming! The store they used was Victoria's Secret. They closed off half the mall and had signs everywhere saying they were filming a movie lol

reply

I forgot it was Ingram Park Mall. It's cool to know these details.

reply

good old Ingram park mall. spent my teens in that mall lol

reply

the mall where the movie was taken place not in mexico or texas it was filmed la i am a big fan of the movie

reply

Theres no evidence that the scene actually happened. Most likely it was inserted into the script since it worked so well in Pretty Woman

reply

I'm not sure if the exact scene actually happened but it was rooted in truth. Suzette and AB did a Live Chat on Youtube in which they answered questions about Selena and AB said there had been many times when Selena would go shopping dressed in normal clothes and they would get followed in stores and be reminded of prices by the sales people even when Selena would take out her AMEX card to pay for some items. He said it used to really bother Selena that things like that would happen.

reply

Of course it happened.

People really are that racist and stereotype, especially in boutique shops.

reply

By the way, asking this question, is like asking Oprah if it really happened to her.

No. Either prove it happened or move on.

Or you could stop trolling.

Judging by your icon I'm going to assume you are a teenager. So here it is, asking for evidence of a claim is not trolling. Neither is it toxic, troubling, or ew gross.

The correct term is avatar and I always assume that posters who do not have one are either entirely lacking in imagination or are simply too stupid to know how to upload one.

So which is it ?

I had wondered about that scene as well becuase there are so many 'Hollywood' parts in the movie that you don't know what's real and what's not.

reply

I don't know if it really happened, but did you notice that the sales lady was the same woman from PRETTY WOMAN? I just caught this the other day.

Hahah was she?
