Well it was pretty obvious, she was trying to put the moves on the husband especially when he came over to her house when she CLAIMED there was wolves at ther house-but he wouldn't give in-he knew what she was up to!
I'm thinking it was a "metaphor" for the all the stuff that was going to happen to the Jenks family-that the character Sandy was able to CONVINCE (seducting the townsfolk)everyone of child abuse...
