Okay, I get that this movie focused a lot on high school students, and a community that consisted of the rich side of town and the poor side, but was anyone else annoyed by Nicole's mom and how she thought Nicole's relationship with Greg was somehow a ticket to her family's prominence? It made it seem like she barely thought of her daughter at all outside of that. And when Nicole broke things off with Greg, her mom and friends wanted her to give him another chance because they thought he was such a good catch (yeah, because wealth is always an indicator of how great a person is). Never mind he cheated on Nicole, and was the chief suspect in the disappearance of a local girl. Somehow, it was Nicole who screwed everything up rather than Greg.

Also, they way the other adults talked about Tina was horrible. What parent wouldn't want to find their daughter's killer and bring them to justice? They never put themselves in her shoes, not for one minute. And poor Emily, and Greg's attempt to drag her name through the mud when he ***spoiler*** killed her. And Nicole's so-called "friends" were friendly with her only when she was with Greg. Two-faced hypocrites.

Greg's father was the worst, just insufferable, throwing his wealth and influence around.

I'm actually watching this right now, and I couldn't get over the parents attitudes and Greg's family's attitudes. Thinking Greg is so great and all.

I also didn't like the fact that her mom seemed to favor her two little brothers over her. She didn't even invite her to her stepdad's father's birthday party. She just said "Oh, you're welcome to join us if you want." It was like an afterthought, like she didn't want her there.

Nik IMO was the only COOL ONE/NICE ONE/MATURE ONE and 2 b a teen the way she is portrayed,i buy it wholly, premise on i have few several mature nice smart cousins

Her mother i liked,pretty convincing o nicole mother,good casting HOWEVER your right lol like he is some rich POWERFUL BIG SHOT,without daddy"money"the keys to a brand new SUV/Car,he would have been NADA.

i just wish we seen "MAMA"reaction! lol

I so did not like her mother or the other snobby and rich people around her. They were so prejudice. Can't believe there are actual people who think like that. The rich marry the rich. Another thing, it bothered me how rude Gregs parents were. I mean the girl was pregnant with their grand child. She deserved some degree of respect.
