or was he just freaking out about the older daughter in the sene when the younger one brought him his lunch

I got the feeling that at that point in the movie, Inger also wanted her dad. But prior to that, I don't think she did.

Too young? at age 10, girls compete for their fathers atttention with their mother. I guess it's rare they want that attention in the form of sex or even kisses.

But in this film, at the end the implication is clear: history repeats itself
