a question on violence

I like to find some kind of detailed review on R movies before I see them. I'm a Dennis Quaid fan and want to see this one but want a bit more ingo on it before I do and can't find a review. Can anyone give me any details on the war violence, etc. or compare it to something else like Braveheart or Gladiator? Thanks! I'd be veyr grateful!

there is not really lots of scenes of violence but more when there is violence it is quite strong and graphic where alot of films holdback this one does not. for example if someone went to hit someone in the head with and object in another film someone will do something to them to stop them or they will pull back and hit them in the leg with the object but in this they do not. hope i have been some help.

well, i'll try not to be too specific, so i don t spoil anything. But how about:
old ladies getting mutilated, pregnant women getting beat, civilians getting bludgeoned with hammers, children getting sniped, explosions, gunfire, etc. Its pretty graphic, and is a powerful and realistic movie. Amazing performance by Dennis Quaid as well.

Thanks everyone for the advice! I've a much better idea now and I've decided I'm going to go ahead and try to get a copy anyway, although the bit about old ladies being mutilated I'll probably close my eyes on. Too much!!
