yet another question

I also found this movie difficult to watch, so I only caught most of it. I remember a scene where a husband beats the crap out of his wife (or I'm guessing they were married) I missed how the fight evolved, and why he did it. I would appreciate any answers anyone could provide for me.

One thing we ALL should agree on, if nothing else: Peace.:)>-

Well that lady gets beat up twice. Once in the beginning by her lover and once at the end by her husband. Her lover beat her because she was antagagonizing him for not staying with her. Then after he left, she blamed it on a black man so she wouldn't get in trouble with her husband for cheating. That's why the witchunt for the unknown black man started for the rest of the movie.

I just saw the movie today in class and I also found this movie very hard to watch. Well to answer your question, there are two incidents in which a woman is beaten-her name is Fannie. The first time Fannie is beaten is when her lover beats her, after she accuses him of cheating on her. The second time is towards the end of the movie when her husband beats her after finding out she lied to everyone about being beaten by a black man and she in fact had been cheating on him and everyone in town but him knew.

Hope it answers your question.

Thanks for explaining about the beatings. I couldn't figure out who was beating her either time.

A movie where countless innocent black women and children die an get treated worse than scum an you worry about some lying adulterous floozy getting beaten?

i don't think he saw the whole movie. kinda makes sense if he might wonder why he chick gets beat up towards the end. but either way yea it's a lil strange to be concerned about her (within context of course).

reply

she definetly deserved the beatings to lie about something that ends up causing a massacre. she should of been burned
