I think I would have gotten sick if I'd seen this in the theater.
I can just imagine the people all around me cheering as Fanny got the crap beat out of her by her husband. At first glance, it may seem like she got exactly what she deserved, even having sustained an earlier beating, but when I think about it, she was no more responsible for the Rosewood massacre than the guys who committed the murders, if even that much. She did lie about her affair and play on the racism of the town, but she didn't actually commit any murders. The murders were done by racist white guys who needed any excuse they could get to go on a killing spree.
