I think I would have gotten sick if I'd seen this in the theater.

I can just imagine the people all around me cheering as Fanny got the crap beat out of her by her husband. At first glance, it may seem like she got exactly what she deserved, even having sustained an earlier beating, but when I think about it, she was no more responsible for the Rosewood massacre than the guys who committed the murders, if even that much. She did lie about her affair and play on the racism of the town, but she didn't actually commit any murders. The murders were done by racist white guys who needed any excuse they could get to go on a killing spree.

"There is no escape, John!"

You know that is exactly what I was thinking. At the end she get the dogsnot beat out of her for starting the whole thing and we are supposed feel good that she is getting her comeuppance.

Umm yeah shes a sick Bi-ch! You bet your ass she got what she deserved I hope he beat her to death. She was the catalyst for all of this. Was she solely responsible? No. She had alot to do with it though. The rest of the murders deserved to die screaming. SO YES at the end of the movie I was like HELL YEAH! Whup her stupid lying trash A$$!

You need to man up! Evil people need to be dealt with!

In that day and age she would have known what would happen to any black man accused of rape. Men had ben hung for smiling at a white woman. She is culpable. The same as someone who hires a hitman is guilty.
