On Ebay they are running around $40 plus shipping. If you are used to buying and selling on Ebay, you can buy one for $40 or so, watch it a few weeks, and sell it back on Ebay as used for almost as much. About like renting it.
You went to the Disney Book Club instead of the Disney video club, just go to http://disney.videos.go.com/General/splash, the only problem with this is it's just like any other video club. You have to buy 5 DVD's within 1 year at $19.99 plus shipping and handling plus they try pushing all these other specials at you for anywhere from $1.99-$15.00. After it's all said and done we DO OWN ROCKETMAN, but for the incredibly low price of around $120.00. Sorry, but I even tried calling Disney Home Entertainment Consumer Relations at 1-800-723-4763, to ask if I could purchase the movie directly from them and they said the Disney Movie Club was the only way I could get it. As for the copies selling on Amazon or EBAY the only thing I could say is watch out for pirated copies. Hope this bad news helped.
P.S.- If more people try calling consumer relations maybe they will release it to the public.
why would anyone pay around $50 just go 2 a store and find it or go 2 a legit online store..dont get it from ebay, anyway thats my advice hope it wasnt too mean :)
Boy, I sure wish I had just thought of going to the store or online and finding a copy for less than $50!!! Hello, it's oop (out-of-print) and you cannot buy it anywhere, hence the reason everyone is begging Disney to release it.
good news for everybody. It is available on harlandwilliams.com for $25 and is also autographed by the man himself, not a bad price for such a great movie and a signed one at that.
