I just went to Amazon.com, and purchased the Rocketman DVD for $10.99, and it said it was released yesterday, so just letting you all know, if you're all still interested, however, it says it'll take 4-6 weeks to ship, but I ended up paying $14 for it total, so I am all set, finally!!

shareThe American release (like all its predecessors) is in full screen though, yuck. I'm glad I got the laserdisc of it. It seems to be the only copy of it in widescreen.
shareYep, had the laserdisk. Ended up sucking it into my DVR and burning a DVD. It's just too darn hard to find a laserdisk player in folk's homes nowadays.
I haven't seen any mention of extras for this DVD. Is it just the movie (without chapter stops) or is there anything else on there to make it worth buying?
its the movie and subtitles, no extras, and no scene selection.

shareI got mine a few years ago at a local video rental store, they were selling all of their videos and they had a copy of it for sale and I ended up paying only $3.00 for it. I have watched it a bunch of times and it plays like new. I have looked online and a VHS copy of it is pretty rare.
