Not one of the best films EVER, but it's defenately good. It pays good homage to the movies that inspired it, the John Woo/Chow Yun-Fat correlation movies during the eighties. Chow Yun-Fat is a great actor, becuase you take him serious when he has a serious face, and when he smiles you smile back. He's lovable in some respects. It is well directed, and the cinematography is very interesting. Sad that it's very underrated.

I enjoyed this more than "The Corruptor", which was kinda gloomy. Chow's always more interesting when he's on the wrong side of the law, eg. The Killer, A Better Tomorrow, Tragic Hero, etc.

When he's a cop like in movies like The Corruptor, Tiger on Beat, and arguably Hard Boiled, I don't like him as much.

not one of the best but a very good film indeed great entertainment i must admit when i can't think what to watch i pick this of the shelf sit down and just enjoy cool

I was too busy watching Mira Sorvino's eyes. Che bellezza !

But, well the film is your generic "bing bing bang boom" gunfight thingy, I grew tired of the fighting scenes as it looks like zillions of other films. As for the plot I saw episodes of Scoobidoo that were more complex. It sure won't make it in the Criterion collection but it's not as bad as a Goddfrey Ho to become a cult B-movie either. But well it has Mira Sorvino in it and wow, mama mia !

I agree, Miaow Sorvino. Exactly, the only thing people could like it for (Other than Mira) is the gunfights, but even they are poor. Plenty of films have done it better. For example, Heat, some of the best gunfights and a cracking movie on top!

Ah, finally, was beginning to despair, everyone watching this for Chow yun fat and me for Mira.
Her introduction into the movie is one of the best female introductions, "she makes me wanna die" bam, sexy Mira in your face haha.
