Green's Objections to Whitney's Work and the Exhibit

I get that Margo Green is a biologist and not, say, an archaeologist, but her hostility towards John Whitney's emphasis on studying the beliefs and religions of ancient people makes no sense to me. She also pooh-poohs the notion of an exhibit about superstition, comparing it to using topless dancers to lure people in. What?

She works at a history museum. Not a natural sciences museum. Almost all historians, anthropologists and archaeologists agree that part of studying ancient civilizations and the people who built them is studying their culture, including what they believed in. It's deserving of serious study and scrutiny, and inclusion in the museum. But not according to Dr. Green.

I mean, really, how many times will you look under Jabba's manboobs?

I think that Margo saw her work as actually helping mankind where Dr. Whitney's work was more like show business or theatre. Hence the topless ballet.
