Undoubtedly entertaining

I bought this film thinking it was a remake of Hitchcock's "Shadow of a Doubt," and I was certainly wrong on that assumption.

This film is moderately entertaining sleaze, with an over-the-top plot and some decent dialogue. Unfortunately, Melanie Griffith seems out of her league as the high-powered attorney, and she's constantly upstaged by Huey Lewis and a Doberman. The rest of the cast seems up to the task.

I can't say it's a great film or even a very good one, but I was never bored. It's worth watching once and forgetting about forever. 6/10 stars from me.
