What the hell was Roy Scheider wearing?

It looked like costume leftovers from a 1950s science fiction movie.

I think they were trying to show that he was so rich he didn't have to get dressed up for anyone. Just wearing an old sweater, like he was hanging around the house.

What we got here is... failure to communicate!

That's always bugged me.
I never understood why he wore that cardigan.

Yeah, it was very distracting. In fact, the cardigan made his character so memorable. When I think of Roy Schneider in it, I go, "Oh yeah, the blue cardigan guy."

I didn't find it distracting. Unexpected. A CEO would likely wear a business suit to court.

It looked expensive.

Perhaps he was trying to influence the jury with the casual look.

I taught you was talking about that heinous plaid suit he was wearing when he attempted to board that international flight. It looked like something he saved from the Jaws gig.
