When Lynn finds her puking & all but passed out after being taken into town to be a hooker, what was wrong with her?

I'm watching it now. My best guess would be that she suffered some extreme assault. Her attackers (I wouldn't call them customers) could have been into some vulgar stuff, not just standard intercourse. One of her eyes was bruised, so it was probably a brutal physical and sexual assault/rape.

Of course, I paused before commercial to type that. After the break, she was having a family visit with her husband and daughter. She sends her daughter off to the swing and tells her husband about what's going on. She says, "Frannie has been in the infirmary for three days. They drugged her, handcuffed her, God knows what else."

Ah! Thank you, that helped clear it up. I thought she might be drugged or drunk maybe but it did seem like more than that, like an assault.
