I just stopped on AMC today and caught the last ten minutes of it! And here I thought I'd seen every fantasy movie made in the last 40 years! I'm really shocked that with Katherine Heigl's current celeb status that it hasn't been released on DVD here in the States.
shareI too just watched the last ten minutes of this movie on AMC. I was quickly annoyed to find there is no US DVD. I found a VHS to order so I guess that's what I'll have to use to see this movie all the way through. I vaguely recall this movie from when it first came out on VHS, but I never got the chance to rent it. I love finding new fantasy movies, especially gems that are pretty decent. Most current fantasy movies are not so great, so I've been searching the past to find others. Maybe you have some recommendations?
shareYup, I was the same way, except I saw all of it except for the first 15-20 minutes or so. It was pretty decent...not extraordinary, but fun to watch. It's supposed to be on AMC at 2:45 am again, thought that could have been 2:45 am last night...not sure. Hopefully it will be tonight!
If you liked this movie, then you would also like "Dragonslayer" with Peter MacNicol and "Ladyhawke" with Matthew Broderick. They were made in the 80s so they're a little older, but they have about the same kind of feel.
