Would you have voted for Jack Stanton?

He lies and cheats his way through the movie, but is he telling the truth, when he says that he does it "for the greater good", because he really cares for the country and can make a difference for the people, or is he just out for personal gain?

The movie seems to be pretty ambiguous about this, so what do you think?

All politicians look for personal gain even if its the non monetary kind.

Its that man again!!

I would vote for him just because he screwed so many women.
That make shim a hero in my book.
That, and the fact that he only screwed women, not men or animals.
Every single one of those women "did" him because he was famous.
Women love powerful men.

Actually what you stated makes sense in a mixed up way. But I differ on who he screwed I don't care if it was a man or woman. People are very attracted to smart powerful people.

I'd vote for him because like Susan said even though they DID come from the McGovern campaign they DID have to learn how the world worked in order to run it.

In spite of personal flaws, they are good people....

Susan is publically 'cold' and 'calculating' but she is the one who is privately nurturing when Billy Bob Thornton has a breakdown---even though he is the campaign strategist they are paying and he is supposed to be telling them to act professional. Susan also takes care of Henry making him tea again even though he is running the campaign.

Jack invites Henry to thanksgiving even though they are supposed to have a professional relationship. It's actually a community/publicity dinner. But again since he was hired for a job, the Stantons did not have to invite him for anything outside of the presidential race.

These people are not perfect but they are not evil. BIG difference between the two. And they are smart.

I've worked for campaigns who are the reverse--they are warm in public--but they are very cold and rude in private. They have no problem about insulting me including for me disability...etc even if it actually did turn me off and end the job

I'd rather have somebody like the publically distant people who actually are nice and decent. You know where you stand with them
